Why tint your car

More comfort. Less glare. Lasting looks.

Kepler film does a lot more than darken the glass. Here’s what changes when your car is tinted properly.

Improved style

Choose from several shades and finishes, from a subtle factory-style match to a darker, sharper look. We’ll help you pick the one that suits your vehicle.

Heat reduction

Kepler Ceramic IR and Ceramic Plus are made to reduce infrared heat, so seats, steering wheels and passengers stay cooler on sunny days. Performance varies by film, shade and glass.

Extra privacy

Tint makes it harder to see into your vehicle and what you leave inside it. Privacy depends on the shade and the light, and we’ll help you choose an option that suits you.

UV protection

Select automotive films block up to 99% of UV rays, protecting passengers and helping slow the fading and cracking of seats, dashboards and trim.

Driving into a low sun with glare softened by tinted windows

Less glare

Tint takes the edge off bright summer sun and low winter glare, so driving is easier on your eyes. How much depends on the shade you choose.

The brand we trust

Four seasons. One film.

Michigan summers bake a parked car; winter sun sits low and blinding. Kepler film takes the heat you feel through the glass, blocks the ultraviolet behind faded interiors and cuts the glare — in the shade you choose.

Range figures from Kepler: infrared rejection is the range maximum, not total solar energy rejection. Michigan tint law limits how dark the front side windows can go — we’ll check your car with you.

The game plan

Consult. Cut. Cure.

No guesswork and no surprises: you’ll know what you’re getting before we start.

  1. Installer holding tint shade samples against a car window for a customer

    Consult

Send us the make, model and year or bring the car by. We’ll compare films and shades with you and explain Michigan’s tint rules.

  2. Plotter cutting a car window pattern from tint film

    Prep & cut

The glass is deep-cleaned and the film is cut and shaped to every window, edges trimmed tight and clean.

  3. Technician giving a silver BMW M4 a final glass wipe-down in the workshop

    Install & cure

We squeegee out every drop, check each window with you, explain the drying time and hand over your warranty.

Good questions

Car window tinting questions.

Still not sure? Call the shop and talk to the people who’ll do the work.

Call the shop(586) 461-9476
01How long does car window tinting take?

Most appointments take about 1–5 hours, depending on the vehicle and the windows being tinted. We book installs by appointment so there’s time to do it properly, and we’ll confirm the time when you book.

02What is a lifetime warranty?

Our automotive tint has a lifetime warranty against covered film defects such as cracking, bubbling, peeling, delamination and fading, for as long as the original customer owns the vehicle. It covers the film and replacement labor for approved claims. Accidental damage, scratches and misuse are not covered. If you notice an issue, contact us and we’ll inspect it and explain the next steps.

03Is your tint the same as “factory tinted” glass?

No. Factory privacy glass is colored when the glass is made, while window film is applied to the inside of the glass. A dark look alone doesn’t tell you how much heat or UV a window stops — ceramic film can add heat rejection and UV protection to factory-tinted glass.

04How do I clean tinted windows?

Use an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft, clean microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, razor blades or scrapers, which can scratch or damage the film, and follow the aftercare instructions we give you.

05Can you tint in wet or cold weather?

Yes. We tint indoors, so appointments usually go ahead in rain or cold. Cooler weather and less sun can make the film take longer to dry, and we’ll explain what to expect while it cures.

06How long should I keep my windows rolled up?

Keep your windows fully rolled up for at least 7 days after installation, unless we give you different instructions for your vehicle. Lowering them too soon can disturb the film before it has bonded.

07What makes old tint turn purple and bubble?

Purple tint is usually the dye in a cheaper film breaking down over time; lasting bubbles can mean the adhesive has failed. Film quality, age, sun and installation all play a part. Small moisture pockets while new film dries are different and normal. If film we fitted shows either problem, contact us and we’ll inspect it and review your warranty.

08Will you come to my home to tint my car?

No. Car window tinting is done at our shop in Mount Clemens, Michigan, where we can control the dust, light and temperature. Get a quote and we’ll book you in.
