How ceramic tint works

Cooler without going darker.

Ceramic window film uses ceramic technology to reduce the solar heat coming through your glass, including infrared energy. That means you can choose a lighter shade and still feel the difference on a sunny drive.

Shade and heat are two different choices. The shade decides how much light comes through and how private the car looks; the film’s construction decides how much heat it turns away. We’ll help you compare Kepler Ceramic IR and Ceramic Plus for your vehicle and include the specifications with your quote.

Ceramic, explained

Why drivers choose ceramic.

Ceramic is the step up when heat is what bothers you most. Here’s what you get for it.

Sedan with a light ceramic tint on its front windows

Comfort in a lighter shade

Ceramic film can turn away infrared heat without needing a very dark shade, so you can choose the look you like and still keep the cabin cooler.

Serious heat rejection

Ceramic IR offers enhanced infrared heat rejection; Ceramic Plus is our highest heat-rejection film. Results vary by film, shade, vehicle glass and testing method.

Signal-friendly

Ceramic technology is designed to avoid the signal interference linked to metallic films, so it suits cars that rely on phones, GPS and other wireless devices.

The brand we trust

Four seasons. One film.

Michigan summers bake a parked car; winter sun sits low and blinding. Kepler film takes the heat you feel through the glass, blocks the ultraviolet behind faded interiors and cuts the glare — in the shade you choose.

The game plan

Consult. Cut. Cure.

No guesswork and no surprises: you’ll know what you’re getting before we start.

  1. Installer holding tint shade samples against a car window for a customer

    Consult

Send us the make, model and year or bring the car by. We’ll compare films and shades with you and explain Michigan’s tint rules.

  2. Plotter cutting a car window pattern from tint film

    Prep & cut

The glass is deep-cleaned and the film is cut and shaped to every window, edges trimmed tight and clean.

  3. Technician giving a silver BMW M4 a final glass wipe-down in the workshop

    Install & cure

We squeegee out every drop, check each window with you, explain the drying time and hand over your warranty.

01How much does ceramic tinting cost?

It depends on your vehicle, the windows being tinted, whether old film needs removing and whether you choose Ceramic IR or Ceramic Plus. Send us your vehicle details through the quote form and we’ll give you a price.

02What’s the difference between Ceramic IR and Ceramic Plus?

Ceramic IR gives enhanced infrared heat rejection. Ceramic Plus is our highest heat-rejection film. Both come in a range of shades — the shade is about looks and privacy, the film is about heat. We’ll give you the specifications for whichever you choose.

03Will ceramic window film affect my phone signal?

Kepler Ceramic IR and Ceramic Plus use ceramic technology designed to avoid the signal interference associated with metallic films, so they suit cars that use phones, GPS and other wireless devices.

04Is ceramic worth it over standard tint?

If heat is what bothers you most, ceramic is the step up: it is built to turn away the infrared heat you feel through the glass. If you mainly want privacy and looks, a standard film may be all you need. We’ll talk you through both.

05How long does ceramic film take to dry?

Drying time varies with the film, the weather and the glass, and cooler conditions take longer. A little haze or small moisture pockets can show while it dries — that’s normal. We’ll explain what to expect.

06How long should I keep my windows rolled up?

Keep them fully rolled up for at least 7 days after installation, unless we give you different instructions. Lowering them too soon can disturb the film before it has bonded.

Fast price. Clean install.
