Kepler K-Shield

Glass that holds together.

Safety and security window film adds a layer of protection to the glass in your home or business. DLK installs Kepler K-Shield to help hold shattered glass together and, with a suitable attachment system, make forced entry through treated glass more difficult.

Security film is one part of a wider protection plan — it doesn’t make glass unbreakable or guarantee that nobody can get in. We’ll assess your glass, framing and goals and explain the options and their limits, so you can make an informed choice.

What it does

Security window film for Mount Clemens homes and businesses.

Protection you can’t see: K-Shield is clear, so your windows look the same — until the day the glass is hit.

Window broken by a thrown rock, held together by security film

Holds broken glass together

Safety film helps keep glass fragments in place after breakage, reducing the hazard of scattered shards in homes, offices and storefronts. It doesn’t remove every risk of injury.

Makes forced entry harder

Security film bonds to the glass; where suitable, an attachment system connects the filmed glass to the frame to help keep it in the opening, which can delay entry. No delay time is guaranteed.

Storms & accidents

After a fallen branch, a stray ball or a storm, film helps hold cracked glass in the frame, so the room behind it stays safer while you arrange a repair.

Storefronts & offices

We install safety and security film for storefronts, offices and other commercial properties, with film and attachment options chosen for your glass and framing.

School entrance glass doors and sidelights fitted with security film

Schools & public buildings

Large entrance glass and sidelights are common weak points. We review the glass, framing and access and recommend a suitable film and attachment option.

Clear, with UV protection

K-Shield keeps your view and your light, and like other window films it helps block the UV rays that fade floors and furniture.

Safety & security film, put to the test.

Watch Kepler’s demonstration of safety and security window film on treated glass. Results depend on the film, glass, framing, attachment system and test conditions, so a demonstration doesn’t guarantee the same performance at every property — we’ll evaluate your windows and recommend an installation suited to your goals.

01What’s the difference between safety and security window film?

Both help hold broken glass together. Safety applications focus on reducing the hazard from glass fragments; security applications focus on making entry through treated glass more difficult. The right choice depends on the film’s construction, your glass, the framing and the attachment system — not thickness alone.

02How does security window film work?

The film bonds to the glass and helps keep the fragments in place if it breaks. For suitable jobs, an attachment system connects the filmed glass to the frame to help keep it in the opening. That can make entry more difficult, but it doesn’t make the window unbreakable.

03How much does security window film cost?

It depends on the size and number of panes, the film and whether an attachment system is needed. We give you a project-specific quote after a free on-site consultation.

04Will my windows be unbreakable?

No. Safety and security film does not make glass unbreakable or bulletproof. It helps hold broken glass together and, with a suitable installation system, can delay entry through treated glass. Results depend on the glass, film, framing, attachment and type of impact.

05Can you see security film on the glass?

K-Shield is a clear film, so your view and natural light stay as they are. Where an attachment system is used, it runs along the edge of the glass where it meets the frame.

06Can it go on any window?

Most flat glass can take security film, but the right setup depends on the glass type, its size and the frame. We check all of that before recommending anything.

Fast price. Clean install.
