What it fixes
From a sunny storefront to a whole office block, here’s what commercial film can take care of.

Solar-control film reduces the heat coming through your glass, making desks near sunny windows more comfortable and easing the load on air conditioning. Results depend on the film, glass and building.

Reflective films give daytime privacy when it’s brighter outside than in — not at night with the lights on. Frosted films give privacy day and night while letting light through.

Security film helps hold shattered glass together and can make forced entry through treated glass harder. We offer Kepler K-Shield with attachment systems where suitable. It doesn’t make glass unbreakable.

A clear, replaceable film that takes scratches and tagging instead of your glass. When it’s damaged, it can be peeled off and replaced — often instead of replacing the glass.

Refresh storefronts, offices and glass partitions with frosted finishes, patterns and tints that add privacy where it’s needed and give your glass a consistent look.

Help slow the fading of merchandise, furniture, flooring and finishes. Fading also depends on visible light and the materials, so no film can prevent it completely.

Cut the glare on computer screens, TVs and work surfaces while keeping natural light and the view outside.

Safety film helps hold broken glass fragments together, reducing the risk of scattered glass after an impact. The right film and any attachment depend on the glass and framing.
Kepler commercial window film
Switch between Kepler’s commercial window films — solar control, reflective, frosted and safety — and see how they look from outside and inside. Our own team fits them in offices, storefronts and lobbies across Mount Clemens and Southeast Michigan.

A neutral reflective finish for solar control and daytime privacy.
Manufacturer illustrations show appearance, not a promise for your building. Reflective privacy depends on the lighting on each side. Glass compatibility and the applicable warranty are confirmed for your specification.

The game plan
No guesswork and no surprises: you’ll know what you’re getting before we start.

We look at your glass, the sun on it and the privacy you want, then show you real Kepler samples against your windows.

Floors and furniture are protected and every pane is scraped and cleaned before the film comes out.

Each piece is fitted, trimmed and squeegeed, then we check the finish with you and explain drying and cleaning.
Good questions
Still not sure? Call the shop and talk to the people who’ll do the work.
Call the shop(586) 461-9476Yes, depending on the film and the light. Reflective films give daytime privacy when it’s brighter outside than inside, but that can reverse at night with the lights on. Frosted and decorative films obscure views day and night while letting light through.
It depends on the film. Many solar-control films keep the view outside while cutting glare; darker films let less light through; frosted and decorative films hide the view on purpose. We’ll show you samples so you can choose the balance.
It varies by film. Some are close to clear, others look darker, reflective or frosted, and your existing glass and lighting affect the result. We’ll bring samples and explain how each option will look on your building.
Once the film has cured, use an ammonia-free glass cleaner and a soft, clean microfiber cloth. Avoid abrasive pads, razor blades and scrapers, and follow the drying and cleaning instructions we give you.
Solar-control film can reduce the heat coming through glass and lower cooling demand. Savings depend on the film, windows, sun exposure, climate and your heating and cooling systems, so a specific reduction isn’t guaranteed.
It can help slow fading by reducing UV and, depending on the film, solar heat and visible light. It can’t prevent fading completely because the materials and other conditions play a part.
Most architectural films go on the inside surface. Exterior films are available where they’re a better fit. We assess your glass, access and requirements to choose the right film and surface.
We review your goals and check the glass, protect nearby surfaces, clean the glass thoroughly and apply the film with an installation solution. Then we trim it, remove the excess solution, inspect the work and give you drying and cleaning instructions.
